Sport Fish Processing

Planning a fishing trip on the West Coast? Get your catch processed at Naas!

How does it work?

Bring your catch (fish, crabs, or prawns) to Naas Foods, right by Tofino Resort Marina where most charter boats are located. Your fish will be:

  • Processed to your preference (either fillets, quarters or portions),

  • Vacuum-packed, and

  • Flash frozen.

Pick up at your convenience, and bring home delicious seafood from the West Coast without the hassle of processing it yourself.

Drop off Information and Requirements:

  • We require all fish to be dressed (gutted and bled, head and tail on) before we intake them.

  • All fishers must have a license on them that we can attach to their intake form. A paper copy is preferred but a phone copy will work.

  • Regular drop-off times are between 10 am - 6:30 pm. If you are dropping off fish after this time, please get your guides to text one of us to make sure someone is there to receive it.

  • We guarantee a 24 hr turnaround time at time of drop off. If customers require a faster turnaround time, the order may be subject to an expedited fee (see below). This fee is to cover the overtime of our fish team if they need to process the fish that evening. Typically, If the customer drops off fish before 5 pm, it will get cut that evening and be frozen by the next morning.

Pick-up Information and Requirements:

  • We are open from 9 am-5 pm for fish pick-ups. If a customer requires their fish to be picked up before 9 am, it may be subject to an early pickup fee. This fee is to cover the wages of our staff that have to come in prior to their scheduled shift.

  • We recommend that customers bring their own coolers. If you do not have coolers, we sell styrofoam coolers with a wax liner for $50 each. These coolers are considered flight-friendly as all airlines should accept them.  A small Calcutta Cooler selection might be available in the storefront as well.

  • We do not guarantee a packing service to customers. If we have time we will certainly help but we like to make it clear to customers that this is not the expectation.

Shipping:

*Please note that shipping might not be possible for the 2026 season.

Unfortunately, there have been too many issues with the third party we use, resulting in unsatisfied customers. If you want your fish shipped and you understand the risk associated with it (for example: fish lost in transit, package waiting at the border resulting in thawed fish, altered fish quality due to delivery delay outside of Naas Foods control, etc), please contact us prior to your fishing trip. *

Shipping fish is possible across Canada. The boxes are first sent to YVR (Vancouver Airport) via Tofino Airport. The boxes are then stored in a freezer on site, until they are picked up by FedEx for a delivery at your door step. FedEx overnight express shipping is used to get the package to you as soon as possible.

At the time of drop off, the customer will be required to leave shipping address and credit card information. The shipping fees will be charged at the time of shipping.

Please note that orders will be shipped according to team availability, cargo space availability from Tofino, and mother nature. Yes, many flights are cancelled in Tofino due to fog or bad weather. Therefore, shipping an order may take longer than anticipated.

Shipping fish is possible but it can be incredibly expensive. See below for a price breakdown.

We recommend customers to travel with their fish to ensure quality and oversight of their precious catch!
